Padín Sosa x Cokí Clik: Manilo

Padín Sosa x Cokí Clik: Manilo

Artist: Carlos Padín Sosa
From: Isabela, Puerto Rico
Medium: Illustration / Muralism
Status: Archive Collaboration

Carlos Padín Sosa is an illustrator and muralist from Isabela, Puerto Rico. His work reflects Puerto Rican identity through bold, hand-drawn visuals inspired by local culture, public art, and everyday island symbolism.

For this Cokí Clik collaboration, Padín Sosa created “Manilo,” a rooster design based on a mural he painted in the urban zone of Isabela. Although the original mural no longer exists, having been painted over, it remained part of the town’s visual landscape for several years and became a recognizable piece of local street art.

The rooster holds a strong place in Puerto Rican visual culture. It represents pride, attitude, tradition, and presence. In “Manilo,” Padín Sosa gave that familiar symbol its own character, using expressive linework to create a piece that felt bold, local, and memorable.

This collaboration transformed a piece of Isabela’s urban art history into a wearable format. While the t-shirt is no longer available, “Manilo” remains part of Cokí Clik’s creative archive — a reminder of how local art can move from walls, to clothing, to memory.
